Sterling Silver Replenisher

Sterling Silver Replenisher is a product developed to achieve
reuse of casting buttons and trees. This product was designed to be
used with UNITED'S deoxidized sterling silver casting grains,
however, it has been used with regular (non-deoxidized) sterling
silver scrap with some success. This product will not remove reddish
oxides from regular sterling scrap.
Recommended procedure:
- Add 5% by weight sterling silver replenisher to bottom of
crucible. Example: 500 dwt, add 25 dwt replenisher. Add 10%
replenisher to regular, non-deoxidized, sterling silver scrap.
- Allow to melt and skim off the oxides that cover the surface
using a carbon or quartz rod. Do not stir oxides into the melt.
- When the surface of the metal is clear, stir the silver to
insure proper blending.
- Pour.
NOTES: We recommend making shot or grain before casting. This
will be especially important in enclosed vacuum machines.
