New Age Alloys

United introduced the "NEW AGE" series of alloys in September of 2004.

The NEW AGE Series of yellow, white and sterling silver alloys have been developed by United to provide peak performance while casting in automated and enclosed casting machines where the crucible and molten metal are enclosed within a chamber of inert gas. These alloys are specifically beneficial to those customers who have recently acquired or are using an automated casting machine who require alloys with less deoxidizers. Existing customers who currently use United's regular alloys may also switch to the NEW AGE series to maintain the same color but prefer more fluidity and less slag while melting and casting.

Most of the yellow and white gold alloys in this series are modifications of current formulas. Castings made with the NEW AGE series will have the same color and characteristics of the regular alloys but will have enhanced fluidity and will produce less slag or dross while melting. These alloys will maintain high re-usability and are more forgiving to changes in casting parameters and will reduce the possibility of having related casting defects.
